GdS: Probable XIs for Udinese vs. Milan – Giroud and Hernandez miss out

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will have to make do without their star duo Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernandez later tonight, taking on Udinese away from home. It’s not ideal for Stefano Pioli but he has the replacements ready.

Giroud is suspended and his absence was thus a lot more expected, with Pioli preparing Zlatan Ibrahimovic during this week’s training. Hernandez, on the other hand, was forced to throw in the towel this morning after experiencing flu symptoms.

Today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below) did have Hernandez in their graphic, but he has now been officially ruled out for the clash. That means Fode Ballo-Toure will be the starting left-back for Milan tonight.

Sandro Tonali will also be back from start after getting some rest against Salernitana, with Rade Krunic getting rest this time out instead. The rest of the XI will remain unchanged, though.

Probable Milan XI (3-4-3): Maignan; Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori; Saelemaekers, Bennacer, Tonali, Ballo-Toure; Diaz, Ibrahimovic, Leao.

Probable Udinese XI (3-5-2): Silvestri; Becao, Bijol, Perez; Ehizibue, Arslan, Wallace, Lovric, Udogie; Pereyra, Beto.
