GdS: Yacine Adli is a ‘jolly’ for Milan as they have three positions in mind

AC Milan managed to secure the services of Yacine Adli this summer but agreed to send him back to Bordeaux on a season-long loan. This means that he will be at Stefano Pioli’s disposal for the 2022/23 season.

The Rossoneri reached an agreement with the French side at €8m, given that they were willing to send him back on loan. As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Adli will be a wildcard for the club, or a jolly as they call it.

Simply put, the youngster can play in many positions: in the midfield tandem, as a right-winger or in the No.10 role. He will be very useful for Pioli, that’s for sure, and it remains to be seen what will be his main position.

Either way, Milan managed to get a good deal and the loan solution seems to have worked out well, given that the Rossoneri signed Tiemoue Bakayoko. Playing time this season for Adli, therefore, could have been sparse.
