AC Milan and Juventus are set to battle for the signature of Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee but there is also interest from the Premier League to contend with.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), the Rossoneri and the Bianconeri appear to be the two Italian teams most likely to sign Zirkzee this summer, despite Inter also being linked.
Perhaps the most sought-after player in Serie A this summer, Zirkzee is expected to cost around €60m but there is also interest from Arsenal which could see the price become inflated.
Milan do have a plan to win this race for Zirkzee, with Alexis Saelemaekers being central to it. He is on loan from Milan at Bologna and has played well enough for Bologna to almost certainly exercise the option to buy him.
That would bring Milan €9.5m to reinvest into Zirkzee, but it could be renegotiated to make both players a part of the same deal.
Juventus want to make Zirkzee the strike partner for Dusan Vlahovic who is still struggling to quite hit the heights that many expected of him.
Bayern Munich still have the option to buy Zirkzee for €40m, and they will earn 40% of any fee that Bologna receive.

overrated player
Absolutely not worth 60million, overrated as hell.
If the fee is 60M, add a bit more and go for Vlahovic instead? 😉
Hopes & Dreams so far. NO concrete moves…
Zirkzee will go wherever Motta ends up and that looks like Juve unfortunately as we waited too long yet again.
Question: why wouldn’t Bayern just buy him back for the 40M and then resell him to Milan, Juve, EPL team, etc…for 50-60M and make a 10-20M or so profit?? Would be smart business and Bayern def have the money to do it.
Should be interesting
