‘Get Allegri’ – Biasin believes Milan missed ‘chance to reset’ after Fiorentina loss

After the loss to Fiorentina, some believe Paulo Fonseca should have been relieved of his AC Milan duties, and Fabrizio Biasin has commented on the matter.

It took just three games for Paulo Fonseca to be scrutinised this season, and Milan decided against making a decision. Instead, supporting the coach, believing that he could turn the ship around. However, less than a month later, his position is being looked at.

Following the loss to Napoli, the Portuguese met with the management to evaluate the situation, and reports suggest that he was informed that he is no longer as secure in his job as he once was. Some believe that the Rossoneri have left it too late, though.

Speaking to L’Ascia Raddoppia on the Cronache di Spogliatoio YouTube channel, Biasin took stock of the situation and his words have been relayed by Radio Rossonera.

“For me, after the game in Florence you had the chance to reset, start again and do something wiser: call Massimiliano Allegri. But these are all hypotheses thrown out there because the American fund does not hear us from this point of view.”

With Milan 11 points away from the league leaders, perhaps, the chance to reset has been and gone.

  1. Don’t get allegri. I wouldn’t have him if he comes for free.
I wouldn’t have him if he pays the club 9M a season to coach…

Anyone who asks for Allegri should go buy some rope

        1. “Idk why people whine so hard about the coach”
I’ve complained about pretty much everyone from Gerry to Moncada, Furlani, Zlatan, the players especially Leao, Theo, Loftus-Cheek, Musah, Pavlovic and Emerson as well as Fonseca.
Everyone to a certain degree is more or less responsible for the current disaster, the management being the one who brought it of course.
I don’t think Fonseca is the problem, but I don’t think he is a solution to the problem he was supposed to solve.

          1. I’m talking in general. People complain about the coach 2 much.

Like it’s his fault bologna match was cancelled and tiji and theo had to serve reds vs napoli. Having us basically playing with subs and lost. Big surprise.
Like it’s his fault leao can’t get over himself.
Like it’s his fault players aren’t clinical. Pioli had the same issue btw. We weren’t clinical enough.
Like it’s his fault tomori makes a blunder and we concede a goal..

Those are all issue that max can solve..

  2. Hell no, his formation doesn’t match our players at all, and he’s not consistent enough as he showed at his last year for juve and his ways are getting outdated, I think it should be sarri, or we wait till the end of the season and try to get ancelotti we might not but it’s worth it to try

  3. Even if RedBird’s plan is long term, Fonseca isn’t the right man to lead that. Sarri would be. With more palpable immediate effect.

But Fonseca will likely stay at least until the end of season. The question is how many players will his system alienate by then?

  4. Whoever defends fonseca is the same that ahould defend me from coaching… We both have the same amount of titles coaching on the big 5 leagues… 0. Every commentator that knows serie A has said he sucks and he shouldn’t even be there in the first place. Id rather take allegri, than someone who has won nothing. There are better coaches? Yes, but we cant get them apparently. US Owned teams suck, they never accomplish crap on serie A.

    1. Brilliant! Glad to hear from someone else who can see how crap American ownership models actually are.
The yanks have wrecked more clubs in Europe than anywhere.
A brief success with Liverpool is all they can vouch for – even that success was organised by a Liverpudlian
