After the loss to Fiorentina, some believe Paulo Fonseca should have been relieved of his AC Milan duties, and Fabrizio Biasin has commented on the matter.
It took just three games for Paulo Fonseca to be scrutinised this season, and Milan decided against making a decision. Instead, supporting the coach, believing that he could turn the ship around. However, less than a month later, his position is being looked at.
Following the loss to Napoli, the Portuguese met with the management to evaluate the situation, and reports suggest that he was informed that he is no longer as secure in his job as he once was. Some believe that the Rossoneri have left it too late, though.
Speaking to L’Ascia Raddoppia on the Cronache di Spogliatoio YouTube channel, Biasin took stock of the situation and his words have been relayed by Radio Rossonera.
“For me, after the game in Florence you had the chance to reset, start again and do something wiser: call Massimiliano Allegri. But these are all hypotheses thrown out there because the American fund does not hear us from this point of view.”
With Milan 11 points away from the league leaders, perhaps, the chance to reset has been and gone.
Don’t get allegri. I wouldn’t have him if he comes for free.
I wouldn’t have him if he pays the club 9M a season to coach…
Anyone who asks for Allegri should go buy some rope
Still better than Fonseca though.
Nope. He’s not even better than boner’a
Fonseca isn’t the problem. Idk why people whine so hard about the coach
“Idk why people whine so hard about the coach”
I’ve complained about pretty much everyone from Gerry to Moncada, Furlani, Zlatan, the players especially Leao, Theo, Loftus-Cheek, Musah, Pavlovic and Emerson as well as Fonseca.
Everyone to a certain degree is more or less responsible for the current disaster, the management being the one who brought it of course.
I don’t think Fonseca is the problem, but I don’t think he is a solution to the problem he was supposed to solve.
I’m talking in general. People complain about the coach 2 much.
Like it’s his fault bologna match was cancelled and tiji and theo had to serve reds vs napoli. Having us basically playing with subs and lost. Big surprise.
Like it’s his fault leao can’t get over himself.
Like it’s his fault players aren’t clinical. Pioli had the same issue btw. We weren’t clinical enough.
Like it’s his fault tomori makes a blunder and we concede a goal..
Those are all issue that max can solve..
L0L
Brilliantly put. Agree 100%.
Fonseca isn’t a good man manager and is out of depth at a class of Milan’s stature. He has no experience managing ego’s or Prima Donna’s. We have those for sure.
Maybe in time his system will stick and be functional. The question is do we have that much time to wait? Apparently the management seems to think so, since they brought him in in the first place.
He’s the same as pioli. Except has hair and doesn’t want to be the daddy but a coach.
I definitely think we should wait it out. You saw the napoli game, right? After we conceded and kept attacking I thought it was just a matter of time we score. We were so close. We didn’t in the end but it was there. We were cooking. Once we get that temperature right we’ll be OK.
Right now we’re dealing more with Leao BS instead of what’s important.
Roma fired rossi and what good that got them? Same as napoli last year. It’s pointless to do that unless you get someone better. Who’s available and definitely is better. It isn’t max.
No?
Fonsi is not the manager that a club like Milan needed!
Under this management Milan are deficient and the changes and signings have demonstrated just this.
Ibra and Co. are looking at Alegri well this is a step back to the past, old strategies and deficient manager .
Milan need a young manager with energy and forward thinking of better football strategy. DeZerbi would be good just like Man Utd in signing Amorim this week!
Ibra ideas are boyish and childish management when they meet soon should look closely at there achievements so far or lack of!
So basically you agree. Coach is not the problem, it’s the people who hired him.
I don’t know either.
😂🤣😂 It’s hilarious seeing people have a meltdown over him. He should not have been here. The management who brought him here are to blame.
But since many can’t see that, I would take the laughs the meltdown brings.
Plus why would Fonseca say no to a paying job, especially a paying job he thought he could do better than the last guy. Who here would say no to a paying job??
I’m with you.
Allegri will be the reason I won’t want Fonseca sacked even after losing 8 in a row. It’s like people don’t remember how depressing this whole club was with him.
He hasn’t improved a bit if you’ve been following his Juve that wasn’t tuned by Conte. People say they’d take bad football with points but Allegri doesn’t win.
A lot of 1-1 draws with like 5 comfortable wins and the rest are hard fought victories from set piece headers in 87th min and horrible defeats.
“Allegri will be the reason I won’t want Fonseca sacked even after losing 8 in a row. It’s like people don’t remember how depressing this whole club was with him. ”
I remember and that’s why I don’t want him either.
I hope they hire you at Casa Milan.. you have sound reasoning.
Hell no, his formation doesn’t match our players at all, and he’s not consistent enough as he showed at his last year for juve and his ways are getting outdated, I think it should be sarri, or we wait till the end of the season and try to get ancelotti we might not but it’s worth it to try
Even if RedBird’s plan is long term, Fonseca isn’t the right man to lead that. Sarri would be. With more palpable immediate effect.
But Fonseca will likely stay at least until the end of season. The question is how many players will his system alienate by then?
Whoever defends fonseca is the same that ahould defend me from coaching… We both have the same amount of titles coaching on the big 5 leagues… 0. Every commentator that knows serie A has said he sucks and he shouldn’t even be there in the first place. Id rather take allegri, than someone who has won nothing. There are better coaches? Yes, but we cant get them apparently. US Owned teams suck, they never accomplish crap on serie A.
Brilliant! Glad to hear from someone else who can see how crap American ownership models actually are.
The yanks have wrecked more clubs in Europe than anywhere.
A brief success with Liverpool is all they can vouch for – even that success was organised by a Liverpudlian
God forbid!!!! Alegri is a spent force.
Allegri = disaster
Fonseca = bigger disaster
Sarri = decent
If, and that’s a big if, our incompetent, amateur managers finally decide to do something about the huge blunder that hiring Fonseca was in the first place, of course they will pick someone just as bad or worse.
So, the fact that Sarri is decent excludes him. Our managers won’t go for someone decent. They will pick the WORST possible option.
It will be another lateral move, or another downgrade.
Even if they did want to aim higher (which they won’t; they will be cheap as usual), one wonders what self-respecting, competent top coach will want to walk into this mess. That’s why if Fonseca is fired, we’ll get another mediocre loser to replace him.
At this point I really dislike Fonseca, but he’s not even the main issue. Our owner and the clowns he put in charge are the main issue.
Wow, you would rather have Fonseca than Alegri??? Total nonsense! Alegri is a top couch, but im sure he is getting from Juve double the amount we would spend.
Top coach? Why in the name of all that is unholy would you ever think that? The only top Italian coach is Don Carlo. Max is a b lister and plays antifootball
Max football style and play identity is very poor. Often hard to watch. After all he was here. However:
Max knows seria A inside out and he will more or less guarantee top 4.
Max is more or less the best of the Italians (after Carlo of course) couches in the CL.
He is quite strict (Conte like), works very good with young players.
Yes playing style is not good, but for me he would be the obvious choice. Not realistic economically though.
Of he works well with young players whybare his teams always full of old farts?
He didn’t do jack shìt in cl and had penaldo ffs.
I’d take fùcking Mancini over Allegri. Urgh just the thought of it makes me wanna hurl
I’d take Allegri for the rest of the season but not a match longer. Why? He’d probably save the season and get us in the top-4 but it would be awful and we wouldn’t win trophies either. I couldn’t bare watching the matches for longer than until next summer.
Turtle you Are a Talking babbit
And you’re the reverse racist. I bet you have a musolini portrait hanged in each room of your one room apartment
You Are the Boy who is Not man enough to say from which anti-Football Country he come from!
You do Not know who was Mussolini
