Mario Gila has pledged to give everything that he has to make his AC Milan move a success and to win things with the club.
After negotiations were concluded swiftly with the player and with Lazio, Milan were able to announce Gila as their second signing of the summer on Friday night. The centre-back has put pen to paper on a deal until 2031, the same contract length that Goncalo Ramos signed a couple of weeks ago.

Gila arrived in the city on Thursday evening and underwent his medical yesterday, which means that he will be available for day one of preseason on Monday. He will work under the orders of the new head coach Ruben Amorim, who is believed to have strongly approved of the signing of Gila.
As part of his media duties that were carried out on the day of his signing, the former Real Madrid man gave an interview to Milan TV in which he shares his emotions after taking the next step in his career.
Why Milan?
“I chose AC Milan because they are one of the strongest teams in the world. Their history and everything that surrounds them is what I needed to reach certain levels.
“We can do many great things, there are many objectives and I promise to help the team by giving everything I have. It’s a wonderful challenge for me. The coach’s ideas and everything that AC Milan represents led me to choose the Diavolo.”
What are your emotions after the last few days?
“I was very excited to have arrived at a big club. There have been so many positive emotions these past few days, I’m very happy. My feelings are positive, I’m sure I’ll get along well with my team-mates, I’m someone who feels good anywhere.”
The training camp at Milan is scheduled for Monday, officially kicking off the new season…
“I’m really excited to see Milanello, the fans will be there on Monday. I can’t wait to meet the coach and see how he works. I really want to see myself at Milanello.”
