Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Roma this evening, Santiago Gimenez spoke to the media and made it clear that the Rossoneri must bounce back with a win.
Gimenez is playing from the first minute this evening, having started on the bench last time out, and he will be looking to prove his value. The brace against Bologna last week certainly showed his quality but in the Coppa Italia final, he didn’t have much time to make a difference.
Speaking to DAZN ahead of the game, as transcribed by MilanNews, the striker shared his thoughts on Wednesday’s disappointment and what Milan need to do now…
“Of course, we are disappointed about losing the final, but that is part of football. Now we will try to win and focus on ourselves,” he stated.
While the remainder of the season doesn’t matter much, even if European competitions technically remain within reach still, it could definitely be good for Gimenez to end on a high note. Indeed, Milan intend for him to be their starting No.9 for many years to come.
