AC Milan cruised into the last 16 of the Coppa Italia as they beat struggling Lecce 3-0 at San Siro on Tuesday night.
In truth, the game was probably decided by the early red card that Jamil Siebert got for a last-man challenge on Christopher Nkunku. Santiago Gimenez got the first goal a few minutes after that to break his duck, firing in a delicious Davide Bartesaghi cross.

Christopher Nkunku got his first Milan goal with a scissor kick not long into the second half, then Christian Pulisic made sure of the victory as he bagged minutes after coming on. Now Lazio await in the last 16, and Napoli arrive at San Siro on Sunday.

Rarely has I seen so many chances either missed or hitting the posts as we could have been ahead with several goals already after the first ten minutes and it basically continued throughout the match. 5/7-0 wouldn’t have been too big a win and we probably could have scored a two digit amount of goals.
I nevertheless thoroughly enjoyed the match from start to end. On a side note I hope it wont be the last time I see Pavlovic taking a freekick as he actually was pretty unlucky that his shot didn’t end up as a goal.
I think he took one similar last season and he’s surprisingly good at it. Perhaps he just needs to learn how to direct it away from the keeper cuz if that free kick was a few centimetres away from the keeper, that’d have surely been a goal.
I don’t recall that but I’ll take your word for it. From the looks of it it seemed to me to be a hard and very well placed shot in my view but Lecce’s goalkeeper really made some impressive saves yesterday and that one included.
I love pav looney bastard, takes free kicks and thinks he’s an attacking midfielder sometimes, love players like this even though he will make the odd mistake. Bartesagji was sharp, haven’t seen so many accurate crosses from the left since, like Rodriquez lol, but we should let Estupinan build on his last performance. Hoping Ricci will come good in rooting for him but right now he is basically our new biglia. Simply put, be more aggressive with your passes, take more chances, watch your pass completion go down but who cares. How doubts about Allegri but really loving the new Milan so far, so strong
