According to MilanVibes, via @Garante_Il on X, the striker will be moved on if Allegri remains at the club. The only thing that would stop that is if the player objects the move as he did last summer.

Do you remember Gimenez started the first 7-8 games and was a complete bust? He had more than enough chances to convince…and he is still goalless!
