AC Milan face competition from Inter in the race to land Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, according to a report.
The Rossoneri are believed to be in the market for a young centre-back who can rotate with captain Alessio Romagnoli and the experienced Simon Kjaer, and Milenkovic is the name that continues to be linked the most.
La Nazione (via MilanLive) reported on Saturday that there have already been contacts between the Milan management and Fali Ramadani, the agent of Milenkovic.
However, the paper claimed that Fiorentina have no intention of selling the 22-year-old in the upcoming window, as they intention is to keep him for at least another season.
According to Il Giornale (via MilanNews) however, the Rossoneri will have to be very careful about the competition from their city rivals Inter.
The paper claims that the Serbia international is now also a target of the Nerazzurri, who would like to swoop in and win the race.
