Giroud’s agent explains the ‘two-way street’ regarding his Milan future

By Ben Dixon -

Olivier Giroud’s AC Milan future is still to be decided, with nothing agreed currently. With the situation currently stalemate, the Frenchman’s agent offered his thoughts on what outcome may be reached.

For some time, it has been reported that there is a concrete possibility of Giroud moving on from Milan at the end of his contract to play in the MLS, where there has been continued interest in his services.

However, there have also been reports of the contrary. Recently, there have been suggestions that the Rossoneri would not be opposed to having the veteran goalscorer stay with the club for another year, as long as he is open to not being the starting striker.

This is something that he is reluctant to do, though, given he still feels able to play consistently.

With him scoring twice and assisting three times in the past month, there is very clearly still a player within Giroud, and alongside this, he is a great figure to have in the dressing room for mentorship and a point of experience.

Vincenzo Morabito spoke to Radio CRC about Giroud’s future, and MilanNews have relaid his words.

“Giroud’s future? The relationship is a two-way street. I think this final season will be decisive. He’s doing well at AC Milan, but he also has to take into account his family.

“He refused the Arab money because he doesn’t look too much at money and because he has an important contact with the matches, but I think we have to wait. In the meantime, he will give everything for Milan”.
