Tuttosport: Giroud has a clear mission in the game against Salernitana

Olivier Giroud has made San Siro his own with 10 goals scored there so far this season, but he is yet to get a goal away from home.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports that Giroud wants to finally dispel this taboo because Milan need his goals in away games, especially in the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Rossoneri need keep the pressure on Inter and Napoli with a win against Serie A’s bottom-placed side Salernitana, which in itself provides a golden opportunity for the Frenchman.

Ibra is still out due to inflammation of the Achilles tendon, it will therefore be up to Giroud to lead the Milan attack again tomorrow evening in Salerno. In the last few games we have seen his movement become sharper and his finishing as well as his hold-up play have never been in doubt.

Of course, whoever plays behind him will have to supply him as much as possible, then it will be up to Giroud to transform these assists into goals and get himself off the mark outside Milano.
