CorSport: Giroud’s four-game drought hinders Milan – against Genoa he must put things right

Olivier Giroud has scored some important goal for AC Milan this season but he is experiencing a mini-drought at the moment, which must end soon.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) takes a look at the scoring problems that Milan have had in the last six games – which have yielded only four games – and the man who should solve it first is Olivier Giroud.

The Frenchman’s last goal was the one scored in Naples against Napoli on 6 March, which is more than a month ago. Of course it was a very important one in the scheme of the season – in addition to his brace against Inter – but with six games remaining, it is important that the veteran gets back to scoring.

Having not scored against Empoli, Cagliari, Bologna and Torino, Giroud is on a four-game scoreless streak which is his joint-longest of the season. Tomorrow night against Genoa he can get back on course.
