MN: Giroud and Sarri to be reunited in Milan-Lazio after 2018-19 Chelsea campaign

There are a lot of interesting tidbits ahead of tonight’s game between AC Milan and Lazio at San Siro, and one of them concerns two men who will be reunited.

MilanNews reports how it will be Olivier Giroud that will once again lead Milan’s attack against Lazio after his heroics during the Derby della Madonnina win against Inter at the weekend during which he scored a brace inside the final 20 minutes to snatch the bragging rights.

The Frenchman will face Maurizio Sarri who is the head coach of Lazio, and is of course his former manager from his time at Chelsea too. In that season together in west London (2018-19), the pair won the Europa League together.

Giroud was an important contributor to that as well as he scored 11 goals that season including the opener against his former side Arsenal during the UEL final in Baku.
