Giroud thanks AC Milan for fourth shirt gift: “A big hug to all Milanisti”

Olivier Giroud was gifted the new fourth shirt by AC Milan, and he posted a video showing it off on his social media.

Giroud is remembered by many as the player who ‘broke the curse of the No.9’ at Milan. The Frenchman was a pivotal figure in the 2021-22 Scudetto win, scoring some important goals including a derby brace and the winner against Napoli.

During his three seasons at the club, the former Arsenal an Chelsea man amassed 48 goals and 20 assists in 132 appearances. He would depart for Los Angeles FC in 2024, before returning to Europe with Lille, where he is once again finding the net.

A video was shared on Milan and Giroud’s Instagram profiles showing that the club have decided to gift the grey fourth shirt to the striker. He said: “Here it is, the AC Milan fourth jersey that you sent me as a gift. Thank you so much, an a big hug to all Milanisti. Forza Milan, always!”
