AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is unlikely to be able to call upon Olivier Giroud tomorrow night against Venezia, according to a report
As reported by Peppe Di Stefano for Sky (via MilanNews), Giroud is not expected to be available for the match between Milan and Venezia at San Siro tomorrow because he has not yet recovered after the back problem sustained after the game against Liverpool.
In fact, the 34-year-old striker even left Milanello while the team’s training was still in progress which shows that he is not yet back to full fitness and needs time to get back to 100%. In all probability, therefore, the No.9 will not be available to Stefano Pioli for tomorrow’s game, not even off the bench.
It means that at the moment Pioli can really only call upon Ante Rebic and Pietro Pellegri for the centre-forward position with Ibrahimovic out due to Achilles tendon pain.

This is kind of risk if we buy old player but we need their experience, 2 side of the coin.
If only we bought a young striker that could play in situations like these.
This is the perfect game to see what we have with Pellegri. He should play at least a half. If he is still not fit enough to play then what the hell did we get him for?
That is what you get when you sign 2 old players. At least we still have Pellegri to play. Hopefully he can score 5-10 goals for us this year off the bench.
If he does not work out, then just give Maldini game time and move Leao in front…Or Give Capone his debut.
Yeah, I was really impressed with Capone, watching the match Vs Liverpool.
That kid has greatness written all over him
Exited to watch Pellegri in action !
