Various sources are suggesting that AC Milan are advancing in talks with Oliver Glasner and are progressing towards a decision.
According to MilanNews, Milan finally seems to be close to making a decision on their head coach. They hoped to replace Massimiliano Allegri within 10 days but over two weeks have passed since his sacking. Now, though, the decision seems close.

‘The chosen one’
The feeling that Gerry Cardinale was leaning towards Glasner had been around for a few days and has been confirmed in the last few hours. The Austrian coach is the ‘chosen one’ for the position.
Last week, there was a long meeting in Germany between the coach and the RedBird management, conducted by the club’s owner Gerry Cardinale and his right-hand man Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The meeting generated positive feedback from both sides.
On the club’s side, the other candidates have essentially fallen through, especially Mauricio Pochettino. On the Glasner side, there is the desire to prove himself at the first top club of his career, after the great results achieved at the helm of Eintracht Frankfurt and Crystal Palace.
In the last two and a half years with the South London side, he has added three trophies to a cabinet that had been empty for a long time: an FA Cup, a Community Shield and the Conference League this season.
The goal now is to reach a definitive agreement, so further contacts between Milan and Glasner are expected in the coming days or even hours. Cardinale and Ibrahimovic are currently in the United States, and no directors currently working at Casa Milan, so Massimo Calvelli could take over talks.
In England, The Times also confirm that the talks are ‘advanced’ between the two sides. Glasner’s arrival at Milan is not tied to that of Ralf Rangnick, who remains Cardinale’s first choice for the role of technical director and who recommended the Austrian coach.
