Goal: Chelsea midfielder prioritises Milan over Ligue 1 move as Rossoneri reopen talks

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are pushing to secure the return of Tiemoue Bakayoko and the player has prioritised the Rossoneri, according to a report.

According to Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com, Milan are pushing once again to sign Bakayoko having made enquiries earlier in the window. The Frenchman has been repeatedly linked with a potential return to the Rossoneri having spent the 2018-19 season on loan at San Siro back when Gennaro Gattuo was head coach.

Kinsella adds that Milan have always been the priority of the 26-year-old despite interest from clubs in Ligue 1, so it seems that after two years Bakayoko could finally secure his Milan comeback.

Midfield depth will be vital for Milan next season especially given that Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer will be away on African Cup of Nations duty in January, with a Champions League return and over 45 games for head coach Stefano Pioli to try and balance.
