AC Milan have made an enquiry over Malmo defender Anel Ahmedhodzic but Napoli are leading the race to sign him, a report claims.
Born in 1999, the centre-back plays for Malmö who currently tops the Swedish league, Allsvenskan. He returned to the club in January after his experiences at Nottingham Forest and at Hobro in Denmark.
According to Goal (via MilanNews), Napoli have entered with concreteness in the race to sign Anel Ahmedhodzic, which also includes Atalanta and some foreign clubs. The request from the Swedish side is €8m, a figure currently considered too high by the Azzurri, who aim to close the deal at €5-6m.
The report adds that Milan also moved to sign the talented centre-back, asking for information from his agent Markus Rosenberg, a survey that at the moment has not led to further developments. It seems Milan will have to relaunch if they are avoid a target going to their Serie A rivals.
