Goalkeepers galore at Milan as Lapo Nava shines in Futuro debut

Lapo Nava was one of the key players for Milan Futuro in their 3-0 win over Lecco last night, keeping out a penalty with a great save. Once again, therefore, the Rossoneri got proof of their fantastic development of young goalkeepers.

During the pre-season tour in the US, due to Marco Sportiello’s unexpected injury, Milan played with the 19-year-old Lorenzo Torriani in goal. Making several great saves, including two in the penalty shootout against Barcelona, he was one of the best players on the tour.

Torriani has now been promoted to the third-choice goalkeeper of the first team, currently the second-choice one, as Milan have decided not to sign a replacement for Sportiello. Rightfully so, given just how many talented goalkeepers there are at the club.

Yesterday evening, Lapo Nava guarded the goal for Milan Futuro and made several great saves, including a fantastic penalty one. The 20-year-old proved once again just how much talent there is on the goalkeeper front for Milan, who are known to produce very good ones.

In addition to Nava and Torriani, Milan also have Noah Raveyre (starter for the Primavera) who – at the age of 19 – has impressed a lot as well. Andrea Bartocciono was one of the starters for the Primavera last season too but he left this summer for Serie C side Renate.
