Longo: There is ‘a good chance’ that midfield loanee will return to Milan early

By Isak Möller -

Yacine Adli was signed by AC Milan in the summer but he was immediately loaned back to Bordeaux. By the looks of it, though, he could cut the loan spell short and return to Italy in January.

The 21-year-old has impressed a lot this season, registering one goal and five assists in 16 league appearances. Milan are obviously very happy with this as they paid a mere €10m plus bonuses for his services four months ago.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri are following Adli and his development with great attention. In fact, there has been talk of an early arrival amid the contract situation of Franck Kessie who, however, wants to stay until the summer.

That hasn’t stopped the Rossoneri from inquiring about, though, as they will be without Ismael Bennacer and Kessie during the AFCONs. They need to understand Bordeaux’ intentions better, but there is ‘a good chance’ of the midfielder arriving early, per Longo.

Of course, Milan would have to reach an economic solution with the French side for bringing back Adli earlier than expected.

  1. Adil is an ACM not a DM so this wouldn’t make sense. If we want to cut a loan short for cover for Kessie and Bennacer it should be Poegba. Or sign Kamara for January. Let Adil develop in peace. He will be a star. He will be our starting ACM in a few years when Real exercises their buy back option on Diaz which unfortunately is inevitable.
