Alex Grimaldo may just have put himself on AC Milan’s radar after his statements about the club, a report claims.
On Monday, journalist Alessandro Schiavone interviewed Grimaldo for MilanNews and he asked him about the transfer links that have been doing the rounds.

“I’m happy at Bayer Leverkusen. But Milan is one of the biggest clubs in Italy with an incredible stadium, fans, and team (laughs). But I’m really happy in Germany. We’ll see…
“As I said, Milan is one of the biggest clubs in Italy. If not the biggest. Let’s see what happens this summer. But I repeat it for the umpteenth time: I’m happy at Bayer.
“Never say never? No, obviously not. We players want to play for the best clubs in the world, and Milan is a historic team. We’re talking about a club that always fights to win. In my eyes, Milan are an attractive club.”
A chance to seize?
As Calciomercato.com report, despite what he said in the interview, Grimaldo is set to leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer. His contract expires in 2027 and he has no intention of renewing, so the Bundesliga club will cash in.
Milan are believed to be in the market for a wing-back who has experience and can offer a bit more quality, given how young Davide Bartesaghi and Zachary Athekame are. The Spaniard’s price tag is around €15m, making him a potentially attractive opportunity.
The 30-year-old has put up very impressive numbers at Leverkusen: in 142 games across all competitions he has 30 goals and 44 assists to his name, which is better than a goal contribution every two games. Sport recently linked Milan, as well as Juventus and Barcelona.

Odogu-Gila
Estupinan-Grimaldo
Ruben-Goretzka
Gimenez-Lewandowski
+ Dodo, DC, backup MC and backup SC
(all of the above could easily (at least
partly) be financed by Leao’s hefty transfer);
more like Fulkrug->Lewa
OK but Fullkrug isn’t our player, he’s just on a loan.
Dodo, Gila, Grimaldo, Goretzka and Lewandowski + 1 more DC & MC & SC.
The midget Dodo? What’s wrong with you? A player that short isn’t going to make it at a top club.
Dodo is 166 cm, Roberto Carlos is 168, so much about that.
Bundesliga player yes maximilian mittelstadt starting left back grimaldo no!
Milans thinking
Player cost 1 million
ac milan offer 600k
player cost 5 pounds
milans offer 1.8 pounds.
even when its a bargain we always look for a discount. sometimes you should just go for it and get it done.
tired of these negogiators. I still think about Maldinis Aura that made players want to join the club.
You haven’t paid attention over the past 3 years. Every single target has been signed apart from Zirkzee and the issue wasn’t the fee or salary, it was the agent.
We sold Theo Hernandez for 35 million. 20 million for Estupinian and now this guy. This club is a joke
Theo was sold for 25 million.
