Longo: Guernier will have chance to impress Amorim during pre-season tour – the details

After signing for AC Milan earlier this summer, Aurelien Guernier will have a chance to impress Ruben Amorim this summer.

As stated in his press conference, Amorim wants to assess everyone within his squad and that is very clear. Indeed, even returning loanees – whose fates seemed to be decided already – will get a chance to play.

So, it is clear that he wants to offer some opportunities out and the Futuro project could also have some beneficiaries from this situation.

Guernier in pre-season

It has already been suggested that Andrej Kostic will have the chance to impress and he is hoping to make a case for himself among the first team names. However, he will not be the only one.

According to Calciomercato.com journalist Daniele Longo, the new addition Guernier will also be given a chance in pre-season. Reports suggested that he would at least train with the senior team during the season.

However, he could become a permanent part of the team if he is seen to have the right attributes for Amorim’s side.

Going from the Premier League 2 to Serie A in half a year would be a substantial showing of faith from the coach, so we must see what he thinks to the youngster. Nevertheless, hopes are high if he is even being considered at all.

      1. Please suggest a free agent so I can also either agree or disagree.
        It’s that simple.

Ain’t here for a popularity contest.

          1. I know you always have the balls to drop a name, so i give that to you.

Goretzka, Hjulmand, Palhinha, Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes were in my wishlist at the end of the season. But in reality, Hjulmand, Tonali and Bruno will not be available.

Either of Goretzka, Palhinha or Kessie would be fine. Kessie and Goretzka are free agents and any of these addition to pair with Rabiot would be an amazing duo.

Barella is 29, same age as Kessie and still bossing the league and someone writes age as if a 29 year old player is washed up. Barella paired with Hakan who is 32 still get the job done.

But of course my first pick would definitely be between Goretzka and Palhinha, but I don’t think either will be willing to come now, but Kessie for me represents a low hanging fruit, so why not since he’s so desperate to return to Europe.
