AC Milan have been strongly linked with a move for Javi Guerra, but he might have taken himself off the market.
Guerra is one of the names that has been mentioned as a target for the midfield rebuild, and multiple reports claimed a bid worth around €20m was sent earlier in the month. It was rejected, because Valencia plan to ask for at least €25m to sell their star.

Guerra gave an interview to Club del Deportista and among the topics discussed was the future. Specifically, the midfielder spoke about the possibility of staying at the Spanish club.
His response to a ‘wish’ in Valencian style was as follows (via MilanPress): “I hope I can bring many good things to Valencia.”
Of course this is far from an absolute guarantee that he stays with the LaLiga club, but it seems to suggest that he will not agitate for a move, unlike Ardon Jashari who told Club Brugge he wants to go to Milan.
In the meantime, Milan have secured the arrival of Samuele Ricci from Torino. Fabrizio Romano tweeted the ‘Here we go’ on Saturday afternoon, and the Rossoneri are now poised to sign him for a total package of €25m (€23m as the fixed part and €2m in bonuses).
Milan must sign Javi Guerra this summer. I don’t understand Milan are trying to sign so many Central Midfielders. Ricci, Jashari, Xhaka, and Modric are central midfielders and on top of that we already have Bondo who is a CM.
We need a DM and an attacking midfielder. No point in signing Xhaka and Jashari.
