The agent of Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has confirmed that his client has not yet made a decision regarding his future.
As MilanNews reported, it was last week morning that Corriere dello Sport director Ivan Zazzaroni told Radio Dee Jay that Gundogan would like to move to Italy and Milan, which sparked a bit of a frenzy given how specific his claims were.
“I think Gundogan wants to come to Italy, from what we know he is getting closer to Milan. I have a detail that I cannot tell but he should be in Milan on the 12th for facts about him that could relate to football,” he said.
Gundogan played a big role in City’s FA Cup final triumph over city rivals Manchester United at Wembley on Saturday, scoring after 13 seconds with a stunning volley and then scoring with another volley in the second half to restore their lead and complete step two of a potential treble.
Now, Gündogan’s agent Ilhan has broken silence on the rumours that his client has a new deal agreed with Manchester City and will soon extend.
“Nothing has been agreed with City or any other club. The recent reports are not true. Ilkay is only focused on the final,” he told Fabrizio Romano.
Of course the main focus will be on capturing what would be a historic treble by beating Inter in the final in Istanbul on Saturday night.
Would be a wonderful signing, much better than Loftus-Cheek.

A bit sceptical here to what extent this is actually true or realistic, yet one must admit if this happens then it presents a massive upgrade to our current squad.
We will know of more details after the UCL final, yet let’s don’t get our hopes high.
A defensive midfielder is probably way more important atm as there is a clear obvious gap since Kessie departed (plus following Bennacer injury). Sadly, not convinced if RLC is the right man; he might well be, but with an associated -and possibly a significant one- level of risk.
Not a chance he signs with Milan.
