Jens Petter Hauge has admitted he felt the pressure from AC Milan fans to do the business for Bodo/Glimt against Inter last night.
Bodo/Glimt stunned San Siro on Tuesday night as they build on a 3-1 lead against Inter from the first leg to win 2-1 on the night and 5-2 on aggregate, knocking last season’s finalists out in the play-off round of the Champions League.
There was a fairytale moment for Hauge too, the former Milan player whose last goal for the opposition at San Siro led to him being permanently signed by the Rossoneri. A Manuel Akanji mistake was seized, and though Yann Sommer saved the initial shot, Hauge tapped in the rebound.
It will have had the feeling of being a derby for the former Frankfurt and Gent loanee. After the full-time whistle he spoke to Kate Abdo, Micah Richards, Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry in the CBS Sports studio.
When asked about returning to San Siro and scoring, Hauge admitted he had some added motivation: “It was a lot of pressure off my shoulders. The Milan fans are really passionate, and they put extra pressure on me today, but in the end I’m feeling very good,” he said.

Maldini choice
Milan should raid bodo and brugge, at least 5-6 quality players who will play front foot offensive football. Serie A the only league which takes defence first approach to an attack pnp game
And was still let go by Maldini Pioli because of Rebic and Leao
Hauge basically left because the Norwegian international coach Ståle Solbakken put pressure on Hauge that if he wanted to keep his international spot he would have to play more frequently so that is why he left. To be fair he didn’t really do that well in the following clubs up until he returned for Bodø.
And was still let go by Maldini Pioli because of Rebic and Leao
Really sad he never got a real shot here. 1 season and then sold on to make a profit. He wouldve been great to have around at least as a squad option
He’d still be on the bench playing second fiddle to Leao. He made the right move.
