CM: Hauge’s future becoming clearer – details of the deal and how much Milan should make

By Oliver Fisher -

Eintracht Frankfurt are now almost certain to avoid relegation to the 2. Bundesliga and AC Milan are preparing to collect a nice sum, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com recall how Eintracht’s start to the season was far from ideal as they won just one of their first 10 games in the league – which remarkably came away against Bayern Munich – so there was an early suggestion about the possibility of relegation.

However, they are now sitting in 10th place having recovered and steadied the ship, so Milan have clearer ideas about Hauge’s future. The Norwegian winger will be nought permanently by the Bundesliga side upon reaching survival, which now seems certain given their 11-point gap over the relegation play-offs.

So far this season Hauge has 23 appearances, with 3 goals and an assist. Some Milan fans scrutinised the decision to let him leave after just one season but the presence of Rafael Leao and an alternative like Ante Rebic convinced all parties to sell.

Nonetheless, Hauge will have an economic legacy. He joined the Rossoneri from Bodo/Glimt for €4.5m, and the agreement with the Frankfurt club is a loan with an option to buy at €10m plus bonuses reaching €12m, that becomes an obligation upon survival. Milan, therefore, are ready for an €8m+ capital gain that they can reinvest.

  1. 3 goals and 1 asist it is worst ,and he cannot even play as starter in mid table Bundesliga team. Good decision to sell him

  2. This may seem pretty but given the sheer number of arguments I had with many different posters over Gauge, where are all his supporters?! Apparently management was crazy to let him go but they seem to have been proven right thus far. He may prove to be better in the future as he is still young but for me, this season in Germany confirmed that he we overhyped by a good chunk of Milan fans.

  3. None of you here know anything about football….hauge had a better goal ratio per minute than other Milan wingers then, he was even our highest goal scorer in Europa….this was just his first season after being maltreated and ignored in Milan, so cut him some slack, not even leao will score more with this Frankfurt……vanbryne, Salah, lukaku, Coutinho, imobile etc were all youngsters ignored and discharged by their first big club….Milan will one day wish they kept him

  4. I prefer Milan should not sell hauge, I could remember when he was at Milan before he was loaned to Frankfurt, he performed so brilliantly, He is still young, and he can be part of Milan rebuilding project, I believe giving more time he can develop to Milan great player.

  5. Hauge did well for Milan he played well and it was his first season he would have become a better winger for Milan.. so all of you should stop talking crap
