Antonin Barak is closing in on a move to Fiorentina from Hellas Verona for a sum that is a lot less than what AC Milan were quoted earlier in the summer, a journalist has claimed.
Barak ended up scoring 11 goals and adding four assists for Hellas Verona last season which earned him links to some of the top clubs in Serie A, though things seemed to go quiet after the initial flurry of speculation earlier in the summer.
According to the journalist Alessandro Jacobone, Barak was sought some time ago by Milan but they were ultimately put off by the asking price of €20m that was set by Hellas Verona, preferring instead to focus on other profiles.
Now, the Czech international is close to joining Fiorentina for a figure that may surprise the Milan management. He will join via the formula of a €2m loan with an option to buy set at €10m and with a salary of €1.5m net per season.
