Hellas Verona defender Nicolo Casale has labelled Rafael Leao as AC Milan’s most dangerous attacking player, according to a report.
The defender was interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning and he showed that he clearly has admiration for the attacking players at Milan.
The two teams will face off at the Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday night in what is a huge game for the Rossoneri’s title aspirations.
Casale had praise for Milan’s two most senior strikers, saying: “Ibrahimovic is immense. Giroud is a world-class centre forward who has had an exceptional career.”
He is the most impressed though by Rafael Leao, labelling the Portuguese as the most dangerous at the club.
“Leao is the AC Milan forward who can unlock the game, with the speed he has, because when he accelerates it’s difficult to hold him and in a moment he runs away and you don’t catch him. In my opinion, he is the most dangerous.”
Casale also discussed the fact that many people have spoken to him about past historic victories for the Gialloblu over the Rossoneri.
Whilst they do inspire him, his focus is on finishing as high up the table as possible with Verona this season.
“I have many relatives and friends who have often told me about what happened in 1973 and 1990. They were great wins. We’ll try again, but not so much because Verona is still fatal to AC Milan.
“What matters is for us is to get another win that would take us to 55 points, the all-time record for Hellas in Serie A.”
Milan are now one point behind Inter but can go top with a win or draw in Verona.
