Theo Hernandez’s contract situation remains a mystery and amid rumours linking him with a departure, the left-back has published a clear message on his Instagram page.
Hernandez was one of Milan’s key players in the 4-0 win against Udinese last night, labelled as the best along with Rafael Leao by the newspapers. However, as his contract will expire in 2026, doubts remain regarding his future with the club.
Just last week, Gazzetta dello Sport stated that the chances of a renewal have ‘effectively disappeared’, with the parties getting nowhere in the renewal talks. Especially in light of yesterday’s game, in which Theo showed what he can do, this is indeed worrying to hear.
On his Instagram page, however, the Frenchman himself sent a clear message via his stories: “Always and anywhere, SempreMilan”. It certainly supports the reports that suggest Hernandez wants to stay at the club, with or without a renewal this summer.
It remains to be seen how the saga will end but it’s clear that losing Hernandez on a free transfer would be a huge disaster. The new management has already criticised past departures in that sense, so now they need to show that they are better at these situations.

Unless an offer from a big team (which I don’t see happening) is coming this summer, Théo isn’t going anywhere.
He probably still thinks he is Bayern or Real Madrid level of player and that unless one of those contact him, he is going to refuse. Do you see Théo accepting an offer from Como ?
And since neither the club is going to renew to him and that he won’t lower his salary demands, we’re unfortunetaly going to yet again lose an asset for free.
Must be nice trying to pretend to be a prophet
Means literally nothing. He can still support Milan from afar in Munich, Madrid or Manchester. Chances of him being here in 18 months are minimal IMO.
Theo hasn’t rested in years and was overworked. He can finish strong and earn a renewal by the summer.
Theo is still arguably one of the best left-backs in the game today. I don’t get why some Milan fans keep criticizing the very stars who helped bring the club back to glory. If anything, the frustration should be aimed at the management, whose arrogance tore apart a winning team.
He play not consistent bro. Actually, they fired their Heir and the legendary Milan club ( Maldini ). That’s why they have no figure to help. Ibrakadabra?? His help for himself. Too arrogance…
” I don’t get why some Milan fans keep criticizing the very stars who helped bring the club back to glory.”
Oh I dunno… Maybe things such as Watergate, stupid red cards, arguing with dodos when others are playing might have something to do with it…??? 😀
One of the best attacking fullbacks out there. And what a machine. Kid hasn’t had a proper break in years cause this management are incapable and useless at finding him a proper alternative. Overworked and cooked with constant bashing from “fanbase”, no wonder he’s declined this season. Keep it up lad, give us a strong finish to this miserable season.
Would be nice mercato if the club from abroad can buy this 2 players ( Theo and Leao ). They know each other and have very good left footed. Spanish football can level up their careers.
the problem isn’t quality,
board priority is sustainable sh!t,
they will rid anyone they think it’s cost too much, even it’s good SD or good players/ coach, when they start asking too much, board will do everything to push them out,
too much for the board is very less for a club like Milan
He’s done after Feyenoord.
All I remember of him is lying around the pitch after a slightest of contacts, crying, probably simulating in half of the instances. It is time to close this chapter.
