AC Milan and Manchester United are in talks over a deal for Rasmus Hojlund, but there is work to be done to convince the player.
Having parted ways with Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic at the start of the summer, and with Francesco Camarda heading to Lecce for the year, it’s clear that Milan need to reinforce the attack with a new signing.

Santiago Gimenez recently returned to training and it seems that he has a fight on for a starting spot, though he did score against Leeds United in Saturday’s preseason friendly. Either way, it seems certain that a new No.9 will arrive.
‘He wants to stay’
Fabrizio Romano gave an update on the situation linked to Hojlund in a video on his YouTube channel that was published late last night, and his comments were relayed by MilanNews.

“The situation regarding Rasmus Hojlund is clear. For United, everything is confirmed, with the English club having expressed their willingness to loan the player. This is a very real opportunity, because for Manchester United, he’s a player for sale, not part of their plans,” he said.
“What we can confirm is that Hojlund and Milan are no longer just an idea, but are becoming a real negotiation. The deal is being priced out: there’s talk of a €6m loan with a €45m option to buy. The player continues to tell Manchester United he wants to stay, but he’ll likely have to accept reality.”

Please do not try to convince the player that don’t want to play with us… We’re fine with Gimenez and Leao in front…
The back up could be taken from our youth sector…
Total BS, €200m in sales!
Get Leoni and Dusan to complete the squad and give Allegri a fighting chance!!
If Hojlund is an opportunity and is a €5m loan fee and €4m wages get him and Javi Guerra (if Musah, Adli and Benecer leave)
RB decide if we are keeping Jimenez and Terricano and leave it there
6 mil is a gamble that could work really well. Santi and him will definitely score more with our new and improved midfield and with Leao and Puli on the wings. I think we should get it, but then again it is all up to the player.
Just someone like Krstovic or someone that have played in serie a thats not expensive af as backup and have Santi as a starter he is a great player so just let him grow
I really don’t get it. Transfer window is open only for 2 more weeks and we have our first game of the season in a week following a league opener week after. And they still dont have a starting striker nor a cb with Thiaw being sold. So whats the plan? Are we making it until january with only Gimenez? Given Okafor was good in preseason but consistency in serie a was a problem last season. I already said it and il say it again: Jashari saga will come back to haunt us. Valuable time lost unnecessary
Nice crystal ball you have. Two weeks is plenty in the transfer window, and we have enough time. Many teams get business done the last minute. Jashari already looks great. Complain complain and complain more.
6M for a year on a 4M gross salary isn’t the worst option. If we think of him like an Abraham replacement, that’s what we were paying Abraham in wages last season.
For me, Vlahovic would have a bigger potential upside but would expect special treatment – Hojlund should be a solid player that I see as a backup or alternative rather than a replacement. Main downside compared to Abraham is that he’s less of a leader; loved Tammy’s dedication to being here.
I was thinking why dont we go for kristovic and let camarda has the no 1 striker position there. Let the young man mature for 2 yrs and take him back, while we have gimenez and kristovic here for the next 2 yrs.
He is MU fan from child, will be hard to convince him to leave. Lets give him deadline to decide until 1 week
I think Milan should go for Nikola Kristovic of lecce.he had a wonderful season.he will be cheaper.also he is very versatile.
Article is misleading. He wants a permanent solution but we want loan to buy option. They are trying to convince him he wont go back which is why his hesitant. 50m is too much. Let’s see if he joins or not.
Kristovic lmao… Omg.
He sucks.
As far as Hojlund he wants a permanent transfer. That’s all.
And we also need to get a CB and RB right away. De Winter or Leoni and Athekame need to be done.
Unlike what others think, I think we have been timely. Many teams wait until the last transfer day. We have two weeks left.
In those last week, we can push for further sales of fringe players with our team complete.
Welp …can’t win em all 🤭
Emegha young attacker from Strasburg will be good for only 15 to 20m.He is strong and score 15 goals without penalties.
The past 2 seasons this kid had 9 goals at ATL and 3 goals at Man U and he’s worth 50M?? lol. Hes young but we need more proven scorer in the League. Very risky. Gimenez and Hollund don’t inspire confidence.
Pass. At that price just get Vlahovic – not the best solution – but at least he’s played under Allegri who hopefully can get the best out of him and he’s considerably cheaper at 15-20M or less and still relatively young (25).
