AC Milan are looking to sign a striker this summer, and Rasmus Hojlund is becoming the increasingly likely option.
There have been a few names thrown around up front this summer. However, a move for Hojlund is quickly looking more possible as time goes on. Though it was important to remember that just a few days ago, the striker was not interested.

But why the sudden change?
Allegri’s role
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Dane is becoming ‘increasingly intrigued’ by the possibility of a move back to Italy with Milan. On Tuesday evening, he was in contact with the management, and now he is considering the move.
A big reason for this appears to be Massimiliano Allegri; working with a coach who has a track record of winning is proving to be a big pull. In fact, the Italian could even call him in the next few days to discuss his position and the faith that the club is ready to place in him.
The door is open for him to leave Manchester United this summer, and negotiations are ongoing with the price. Ideally, the Rossoneri get their man for less than €40 million. However, United are currently at a figure closer to €50m for the whole operation.

not worth at 50M…
if it was 5-6M loan plus 30M, that would have been appropriate… just because United overpaid for their summer transfers doesn’t excuse them from being delusional… Brugge 2.0
Unless the terms previously reported ($6m loan for one year, option to transfer for ~&40m in year 2) have changed, it’s a low risk deal. If He bangs in 20+ goals, he’s worth it. If he’s disappointing… he goes back to Manu U.
yeah but we waste another 6M (last time with Felix) and the problem that I have is that for important roles like RB, we paid 10M when 17-18M could have gotten us way better and tested RB…
@king22 I am with you, too expensive.
He is far from as bad as people here want him to be, far from, and I actually think he would be a good addition to Gimenez and the team.
He is physical strong, fast, good header, is technical and works hard, so I understand why Allegri likes him.
He is also young (22 Y/O) so I understand why Furlani likes him.
But considering money for value and value for money, he sounds too expensive.
For this kind of money Boniface would be for me the dream signing but I don’t think Leverukes will be open to loan with option and we don’t have the money now to splash 40mil on a striker. That is why they are pushing for this transfer. If it doesn’t work out we only pay for the loan and salary and we wait an see how Camarda progresses in Lecce.
We need a target striker, I think Gimenez is better than Hojlund anyways.
Man Utd is bad at selling players and they need money after spending much this summer, I think the price can be pushed down.
Any comments about Liverpool and Leoni? It’s a done deal at 35 millions. So, this kid is … unproven? Are Liverpool scouters and coaches fools? Why could we just take him and Coppola (went to Brighton for peanuts) and get rid of our clown defender?
Yeah he’s unproven. He has 17 games. That’s it. Liverpool has had expensive flops in the past.
If I’m wrong I will be wrong. But I don’t think spending 35 million on an 18 year old was wise at all.
If we hadn’t been linked to him, I probably wouldn’t have known who he was. The thing about Milan is that we don’t use our youngsters nor do we know how to hype them like other clubs do. In a Benfica world, Liberali would be going for €40m but here he’s free for the taking. Anyway, time alone will tell if we were wrong not to push for the kid. 🙂
Yes, and instead we signed a proven Serie A defender? Be serious.
Trashmus Hojlund
Username checks out.
Good grief, does even your mom likes you?
it’s sure’s 2nd acc so that he can have a discussion with himself
People think he will get even 15 goals with us? I want to be optimistic… But that seems a bit hard to believe.
The biggest heist in modern day soccer was what Atalanta got for this guy from Man U. And now it is difficult to justify the quoted fees to release him. I’m not inspired by Milans interest, let’s see where this goes.
Don’t believe a day like this would come where a player would be having doubts and needs convincing about joining us. Not to talk about a player like hojlund who isn’t even world class yet…. Mehnn Milan has really fallen off 😔😞
If you play counter attack you need fast players forward. And Gimenez is a snail. So he could be used against low block teams and Hojlund against stronger teams where you need to get out fast. Don’t see any other reason to play him over Gimenez.
Man U needs to come to grips with the fact that his market value is not based on their panic overpaying for him two years ago.
Kid is not worth 50 mil. That is crazy.
Wait a week and the price comes down to €40 million. Especially if they have a bad start in the league.
