Rasmus Hojlund is growing increasingly convinced of leaving Manchester United and now seems open to a farewell, according to a report.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Hojlund’s desire to remain at United – despite the arrival of Benjamin Sesko – hasn’t entirely vanished. Yet, after a meeting with the club through his agency SEG, he received confirmation that there is no longer a place for him in Ruben Amorim’s plans.

The zero minutes he got in the friendly against Fiorentina over the weekend sent a clear message, and it was reiterated that things will not change even with the start of the Premier League season coming in a few days.
The Dane has acknowledged this and has begun to consider a future away from Manchester. This is the first piece of good news for Milan, who have placed him at the top of their current list of reinforcements for the centre-forward role.

Contacts intensified
With this in mind, it’s important to note that the road to signing Hojlund isn’t easy for the Rossoneri who have intensified their conversations with the club over the past two days, both through an intermediary and directly with the player.
An agreement has been reached with United on the formula of the deal (loan with an option to buy), but not yet on the figures. Giorgio Furlani and Igli Tare value the player at around €35m and intend to pay a loan of €3-4m plus an option of €30-32m.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils are seeking a loan fee of at least €7-8m and a total deal value of €40-45m, including bonuses. The gap is there, but it can be closed quickly once the player gives his green light to a move to Milan.
Right now, the appeal of wearing the Rossoneri shirt is growing to Rasmus. Yesterday, the Diavolo received confirmation that the option could be attractive, thanks to direct contact between the club and his entourage.

Signs of movement
It was clear that something was moving yesterday when, with Koni De Winter at Casa Milan, Tare showed up at Milanello (where Zlatan Ibrahimovic was also present) to speak with Allegri.
Negotiations for the striker have clearly reached a fever pitch, and Max can also play his part by calling the player to let him know he’s interested. Milan want to see if they can secure Hojlund within a few days, let’s say by the end of the week.
Having seen the striker’s initial openness to moving from Manchester, they now need to act quickly to prevent other clubs from tempting the Dane. Indeed, the Rossoneri will not be playing in European competition, and a team competing in the Champions League could hold significant appeal.
That’s why the courtship must be lightning-fast, like the one that brought De Winter to the Rossoneri in 48 hours. The paper repeats: this isn’t an easy or straightforward negotiation, but at the start of this week, Milan’s feelings are more positive than a few days ago.

Untd have already signed Sesko… Hojlund after his disastrous 2-3 seasons with them can’t be actually be worth 40-45M…
just because these c*cks overpaid doesn’t mean we should as well…
35 mil next year I think Utd will not register a loss, 5 mil loan fee with 30mil option to buy sounds fair.
5 year deal for 78M means it’s a bit less than 15.6M per year.
next summer his amortization will be less than 32M…
realistically man u have spent 200M on attack this season , with zirkzee and other attackers i beleive still in club , tey would be lucky to get 30m eruos total for hojlund, id say the loan deal £4 euros +his wages and buy clause of £31M euros will be enough
Why would they be lucky? Scammacca was bought by Atalanta for 30M 2 years ago. 2 years older and scored less goals at that time. Hojlund is a 22 year old striker with Bundesliga, Serie A and Premier League experience and 50+ goals scored in those leagues. How many 22 year olds have that experience and numbers? People often say he is bad, but…
+ Scammacca is a known liability in terms of injuries. Missed most of the season at West Ham, missed whole last season for Atalanta. Hojlund is as fit as it gets.
*Austrian Bundesliga
I thought he was at Freiburg or something like that. Was wrong, so 40ish goals, not 50.
I always take ManU players (and in some sense chelsea too) with a grain of salt. ManU is such a circus, no player, especially forwards have done well. Except for maybe ibra with mou at the helm. He was pretty good at atalanta. so, will he be another Puli? … who knows. The kid isnt as good as 80M but also, he isnt a division 2 player either.
I think we really should be aiming for someone else. I’ll support if he is signed, but I think a different striker would fit the profile better.
No more then 30M and if that. Unlike Jashari who knew what he wants, this giys thinks we are downgrade. I would say No.
We are talking Milan, and last time I checked we are bigger name then Man U, result wise also lately.
Offer 25-30 if not he can go and play for Burnley
Milan is club that buy and invest in everything they sees it as opportunity
If he joins he will do great. Hope they can get him for 30-35M total.
Certainly don’t agree with this at all, getting rid of Hojlund means United losing out on a possible deadly partnership up front with Sesko, United DON’T have any good natural strikers, I don’t class our new players as strikers certainly NOT no 9s other than Sesko, Zirkzee is NOT a no 9, Obi is not the answer & should go out on loan, I’m beginning to get very annoyed with Manchester United & the way they are treating Hojlund, & the idea of NOT trying to sign Donnarumma & instead trusting the liability of Onana again, how many points did this 2nd rate goalkeeper cost us last season, if you don’t have a goalkeeper you can’t rely on & don’t trust, nothing changes, because you know he will make big mistakes again that cost us valuable points, some people at United have no sense whatsoever, where do the goals come from if Sesko can’t play, we have 4 no 10s but only 1 number 9 if Hojlund goes, give Hojlund a chance to prove himself, he has already looked a different player during preseason.
My best mate is a big United fan. He has been pulling his hair for United not going all in on Donnarumma for weeks now. Also for the Hojlund valuation after the preseason, he also says he has actually been great. Don’t worry, we’ll take good care of him at Milan and with 35M you can get no one.
it’s so sad when people call a balloon with a face on it their best mate… aren’t you too old for imaginary friends?!
Man, stop being ret*rded. It is sad.
Last time I’ve heard someone like you was when we were 9. But that kid was smarter.
Please stay at Manchuster
This is great, Milan chasing a reject who rejects Milan. This management should have some pride and walk away.
Milan should get Mitrovic
6m + 45m if we play for this clown( and im sure we will) then we realy need be at problem with goals. Put this clown play and our Gimenez at banch or loan Camarda only can do man from America. We are every day joke club with those transfer politics
MAXIMUM 5 POSUDBA PLUS 30 ZA MOGUČNOST OTKUPA A NE OBAVEZA !!!!!!
Wow we are scraping the bottom of the barrel with this deal.
Bringing in a player who has been a complete failure for 2 years and even before that had scored 9 goals for atalanta.
We should be after sesko, not giving utd money to buy him.
Lets just keep selling our best proven players for big money and buy other peoples rubbish.
We have now sold our best midfielder, our best centre back and our best full back.
Another year zero. We will have new players in 3 of 4 defensive positions and 3 new midfielders for the 3 positions and potentially a new striker. That is 7 new starters changed, and we expect this to work?
Milan brought in a sporting director well know for finding bargains and making profit from sales. I don’t see Milan buying a player of Seskos value anytime soon.
