Why didn’t they consider Xavi for the job? We’d have played exciting football and seen youngsters in the team. But well, let’s see what Max can give and how he manages Leao especially in the defensive phase.
If you would have asked me when pioli left if I’d take allegri, I’d say absolutely not. But fast forward to present dayand I’m not against it. Second stints at clubs rarely work out but he’s a very experienced coach, won many scudettos and has dealt with way bigger players than milan currently have. When he was first at milan and Juventus he played attractive football and found much success. It’s his second stint at juve was awful and really diminished his reputation for boring anti football but in reality if you look at it. He took control of a juve who was probably at their worst in the last 15 years and still managed to get them into champions league.
So at milan before we totally go downhill maybe he can steady the ship starting from the defence and build this team again. There’s not that much out there that has more success and experience than him. It’s also the safest bet other than Conte for tare starting out. Imagine bringing in a coach like Italiano or de zerbi and finishing outside of the top 4 again!!
Exactly. People don’t seem to realize we’re in exactly the same situation now as pre pioli. We need to actually get good enough to be top 4 again before we can focus on challenging for the title and ucl. The damage cardinale and his clown have done is extensive. We need some stability before we can move forward again, cuz they basically undid all piolis work in 2 years. We’re at square 1 right now

He built around an older CR7 that refused to defend. Ronaldo said he was among the best coaches he ever played for. So he can get the best of Leao if the club keep our best players and add a couple pieces once they clear out dead weight. We have the financial capability to do it despite missing out on the CL. They can’t get this season wrong. It is all in, sink or swim. They have no choice but to pull out all the stops with media and fan criticism, as well as the dismall results. The management and ownership’s reputation hinges on this coming season.

I would keep all milan’s players this year and give them ALL another try. When a WHOLE TEAM flops, quite likely coach is the main reason and fonseca and concencaio were both no big shakes. We just need to replace abraham and jovic with good attacker and possibly sign ricci AND OF COURSE KEEP TIJJI.
