After winning the Supercoppa Italiana in January, AC Milan are preparing to play another final this season in the Coppa Italia against Bologna.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanPress) reports, winning two trophies this season would help to close it at least with dignity, in addition to helping with revenues. In fact, at present it looks like the only possible way to get into the Europa League.

The loss of revenue from the Champions League will be felt a lot, but the Rossoneri will try to ease the pain by focusing entirely on the final at the Stadio Olimpico. If Milan were to left their second trophy of the season, the total revenue generated by the two would be €18m.
From the Supercoppa €11m have already been collected, while the journey in the cup has brought almost €3m so far. Even in the event of a failure to win, the figure would not fall too far below the aforementioned figure: the second-placed team collects €1.9m, while the winner €4.4m.
This is not the point, though: winning the Coppa Italia would bring the Europa League, which would pay €13.3m into the accounts just for participation. This would reach a total of around €30m, significantly reducing the Champions League losses, which guarantees €45-50m minimum.

It wouldn’t halve loss but decrease on decent amount. Milan squad could exist than with only sales of Kalulu Bennacer and some other loaned players.
As long as that incompetent ugly toad furlani is around, milan can NEVER have any season with dignity. That guy is a bloated object, good for nothing clown who has found himself thrust in football management OF WHICH HE KNOWS NOTHING because of his association with elliott.
THE COMPLETE MESS HE MADE THIS SEASON IS PROOF OF THIS.
I will be glad if milan secure the second trophy in this it will be fablous after poor start this season froza milan sempre milan
The question is whether it would be better to have a year away from Europe with no midweek games, to have the best shot at recuperating next year. Obviously bad for finances, but I don’t think we’ll improve a huge amount with playing every Thursday too.
