AC Milan are in the market for another striker this summer, and they are hoping that other moves will free up an opportunity to seize.
Igli Tare confirmed Milan want a new centre-forward last week, and he even went as far as to say that they are looking for a centre-forward with characteristics very similar to Olivier Giroud (more physical, and who spends time in the penalty box) but who above all scores lots of goals.

Striker domino effect?
As Tuttosport (via MilanPress) report this morning, the order of priority for Igli Tare is as follows: a revolution in midfield, two new starting full-backs, a central defender and a winger if Noah Okafor or Samuel Chukwueze leave. Then they will think about the number nine.
To do so, the Devils will rely on a ‘domino effect’ that impacts the big clubs in Europe. The impossible names are Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko. Then there are Darwin Nunez and Lorenzo Lucca who seem close to Napoli.
If the Uruguayan does not join up with Antonio Conte, then Milan will try again for him. The price will still be around €65-70m. Furthermore, there is Moise Kean, with his €52m clause active from 15 July but Al-Qadsiah pushing hard.
It is clear that in this type of transfer market time and patience are needed. Like Atalanta, who will have to sell a big name: if neither Lookman nor Ederson leave, then Mateo Retegui will have to be sold for at least €40-45m.
Manchester United will say goodbye to Hojlund after two seasons. In the background remain Aleksandr Mitrovic, Vangelis Pavlidis, Georges Mikautadze and Tolu Arokodare. Dusan Vlahovic remains an option, even though he is currently at the bottom of Tare and Allegri’s list.
Of all the strikers the article mentions, only Gyokeres and Osimhen are top strikers. Sesko and Kean have the potential to become, if they keep their performance up, though I have doubts about Kean. The rest are average strikers.
Italian clubs can’t buy top strikers anymore. Unless they buy talents and develop them into top strikers.
Kean would be a flop in Milan. I just know it.

I still think we could have saved some cash on expensive forwards and use Santi/Jovic with gradually more and more time for Camarda to grow within the club. At least until there isn’t a good enough opportunity that will not cost us 50%+ of the budget for the whole summer. Anyway, now we have no choice but to spend on probably 2 attackers just to have whatever backup.
I dont understand how striker is not a priority? After Tammy and Jovic left and Camarda heading for a loan we only have three nominal strikers: Gimenez, Colombo and Origi! If Gimenez flops or gets injuried we are left with nothing. Striker should be our priority.
I think we will buy one striker and then use Colombo as 3rd striker with some gametime too.
We could have signed Retegui for 21M last summer. We paid 13M for journeyman striker Morata, who is 32 and still journeying. Eintracht paid 16.5M for Hugo Ekitike, who is 23 and worth 100M. Why didn’t we sign Ekitike last summer? There are countless others in the last 2-3 seasons. Somebody (Furlani? Moncada?) needs to get fired.
All strikers that you mentioned was Maldini targeted long way ago but then furlani refuse it.
Because our club lead clowns and managers and they only look to buy and sell their players. When we have new owner we only can think again we will be big club.Now we just small club with bad transfer politics. Atalanta,Inter,Juve and others for us is bigger clubs now
Ekitike, I remember that name. We also could’ve signed Guirassy (someone we tracked all winter long before) below 20 mil yet we didn’t.

Camarda better then both this.But our club lead managers who looks only what is best for them.
Hope Tare knows what he’s doing because he was brought in to do a lot with little, while the management has a lot but does little with it…

Retegui makes the most sense. Italian, good box player, already used to the Italian league and he have proven he can score here.
If Osimhen or Gyokeres are out of reach, then Lucca gotta be the guy.

Might not be a popular name, Bruno Petkovic is available on a free transfer. Not a star signing nor a great goal scorer, but his hold up play and attacking flair would open up space for Leao and Pulisic. Could be a short term solution until Camarda is ready to push for the #9 jersey
