AC Milan are now expected to drop their pursuit of Guela Doue, and it could lead to a change in the allocation of budget.
One role that Milan seemed almost certain to invest in this summer was the right-back position, given that Kyle Walker, Alessandro Florenzi and now Emerson Royal have all left the club.

This leaves only Alexis Saelemaekers and Alex Jimenez, who are both certainly valuable assets but are more natural wing-backs given their propensity to get forward and contribute to the attacking phase.
With Pervis Estupinan having been signed for the left-back role, the name for the opposite flank has remained a mystery despite the various links. Now, the transfer plans could change entirely.
Doue declines
According to Matteo Moretto‘s latest video, Doué to Milan is losing momentum rapidly. The management are not convinced to continue pursuing Doué from an economic standpoint as Strasbourg are still asking for €30m total package.
Milan are evaluating to go for a cheaper right-back and re-allocate that budget for the striker position and for Ardon Jashari. Milan are ‘obsessed’ with Jashari and are still working to sign him. It remains to be seen if Milan decide to make another step.

They should try again for Matty Cash otherwise Vanderson. Unfortunately it’s hard to find a good non expensive right back. Doué would have been the best option but 30 is too much for him
Dodo would be a good signing. I don’t know why they moved on from him. But, if we are not going with RBs and just using wingbacks I guess Saleamakers and Jiminez could fill that role.
This is bull, they’ve been selling for 70 m more than they’ve been buying for. This should cover for Jashari and Doue. Surely there must be enough money to spend on Vlahovic even without european cup.
We should try and sign mattia zanotti, he’s great defensively which is what we want and he’s decent attacking, and he’s in our price range, he’s 22 and he’s Italian which we need more of

Honestly, I’d go for him. If he stays fit, he can be serviceable.
Bring back calabria, he have different play style with jimenez. He is more defensive RB. 2m euro nett salary already enough for him. Remove budget from RB to striker or maybe jashari . ACM can bring new RB next season if jimenez and calabria not convincing allegri. There is also more option cheap italian RB in serie A , forcing saladmaker to play RB are bad idea because he is RWB
The chase for Doue is not over. I don’t know how good he is as a player, but, I believe they want him for the attention he will bring to the club, due to his brother’s soaring popularity. They will offer a little more, and, Strasbourg, will have to consider whether to let him go for that price. On the economic side, getting him will pay Milan. Strasbourg know this, and, that’s why they are holding on. However, it makes no sense keeping a player that’s not attracting much attention from other top clubs. I see him leaving for €24m-€25m. Milan will end up spending beyond their budget for each key, but, will also raise their price for outgoing players like Musah, Okafor, Chukwueze, and co.
