Even though there are still four games left in the current season, the transfer market waits for nobody and rumours continue to swirl.
It is well known that Milan’s squad will need some work in the summer window, hopefully with a Champions League return rubber stamped. One reinforcement per department at least seems to be the request from Massimiliano Allegri, and the links with players have followed in abundance.

How Milan could line up in 2026-27
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) has published a hypothetical starting XI for next season under Allegri, as part of the two-page spread on the ‘midfield revolution’ that may well take place.
They believe that Mike Maignan, Matteo Gabbia, Strahinja Pavlovic, Alexis Saelemaekers, Luka Modric, Adrien Rabiot, Davide Bartesaghi and Christian Pulisic will all keep their places compared to the current ‘standard’ team.
The names of three transfer targets are included though. The first is Mario Gila of Lazio, who seems to be the priority for the right-sided centre-back role in the three-man defence Allegri will apparently stick with.
Ahead of him is Leon Goretzka, a free agent target given his deal with Bayern Munich runs out. With his experience and quality, the German is tipped to take the role of playing as a box-to-box man on the right.
Two additions from LaLiga make it in. Javi Guerra of Valencia is back on the radar and could arrive as a deputy to Rabiot given he is left-footed. Then, Alexander Sorloth of Atletico Madrid is reportedly seen as the most likely striker signing at present.
Predicted Milan XI 2026-27: Maignan; Gila, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Goretzka, Modric, Rabiot (Guerra), Bartesaghi; Sorloth, Pulisic.

So we had the 30 million to invest in Mateta last January but apparently if we reach champions league we have 30 million budget in the summer?
Soloroth won’t fix our striker problem
Well, there will be sales. The one person they should sell, they can’t and won’t. Another year of tedious football and an early CL exits.
And who is that one person?
I’d actually keep an eye on Mateta. He’s been playing again for Palace. Actually had more goals in the last couple of weeks than all of Milan’s attack combined.
And I’m not believing the Goretzka. He’d have to take a massive pay cut to come to Milan.
He can make more for in Germany, England or Turkey. We’ll see.
who told you that? You think Journos know everything going on in the club
what sort of la la land do you live in
Our squad have no depth to compete in CL, Serie A, Coppa Italia and maybe Super Cup. To sell couple players and buy just 4 players is just ridiculous. Milan have to buy at least 10 players and sell at least 4 players. Milan have to buy couple of Italian players too.
I hope the transfer market looks like this.
Sell: Fofana, RLC, Leao, Nkunku, Estupiñán and Tomori.
Buy: Calafiori, Scalvini, Palestra, Udogie, Kean, B. Silva, Vlahovic, Goretzka, Ederson and Tresoldi
If we are selling Leao, 1 striker is not enough.
??? – Pulisic
Gimenez/Sorloth – Nkunku
Sorloth needs to be direct replacement for Fulkrug. Goretzka should also be for depth not starter. upgrade to RLC basically. Gila is self-explanatory, Odogu needs time in Serie B or A if lucky. Guerra (apparently 187 cm) also smart addition, similar to Rabiot.
The only upgrade we need afterwards is Estupinan and quality ST.
the entire sales from loans, minus Musah is ~75M; RLC and Estupinan together would sell for 20-25M.
Guerra, Gila, Goretzka, Sorloth would cost around 70M and if we manage to get Grimaldo on top for 10-15M, then entire Leao fee can be used for ST.
We won’t be able to do much with both Alexis and Bartesaghi, that is not a serious plan, it can not be that they indent to work like that.
if you want to drop 100m on random 18 year olds like Chelsea you support the wrong club and wrong league
How about 10m for Grimaldo?
This comment of his was totally and entirely uncalled for, there are many players in those positions which could be b(r)ought for a very decent fee.
That’s a typical Boulden response up above.
Boy, I’ve been following the club for “only” 33 years and I certainly don’t need you to lecture me on this and to tell me who should I support, thx very much but you’ve definitely got the wrong person.
Quem cria as jogadas nesse time
Vamos sofrer de novo sem criatividade
With this system, we need to re-sign Theo at least ☝️
Rabiot/Guerra isn’t a viable rotation. Rabiot is great in a two man pivot. If Goretzka can pull it off, you can replace Modric with a 10 or even push Modric forward as a 10 behind two strikers.
Rabiot havent played in a two man pivot the whole season. He has played as the left side mezzala next to a clear regista/no6 in Modric, and been great doing so. This is the 3 man midfield Allegri wants. A clear regista and 2 box to box midfielders. Thats why he choses Fofana over both Ricci and Jashari most of the times.
Guerra is a copy of Rabiot; a techniqal, box to box midfielder with a good passing foot, aggressive style and with good pace despite his size. Hes played mostly as a deep lying medifielder in a 4-4-2 at Valencia but his skillset should make him ideal as the left mezzala.
He would be a great deputy for Rabiot.
