While the AC Milan directors have tried to play down the idea of a revolution, the amount of movement expected could hardly be called anything else.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress), the squad will be entirely built by Max Allegri and Igli Tare, with the two trying to make a clean break from the recent past. Part of this is to offload players that are not deemed a part of the project.

More Milan exits expectd
A big departures was supposed to be that of Mike Maignan, who however will perhaps remain for more than just next season after the failed transfer to Chelsea.
Theo Hernandez will go to Al-Hilal for €25m plus bonuses, and Emerson Royal on loan to Real Betis. Malick Thiaw is in talks over joining Como for €25m and Fikayo Tomori is popular in the Premier League. Davide Calabria and Kyle Walker have left, and Marco Pellegrino was sold to Boca Juniors.

Yunus Musah is looking for a club in England for no less than €25m, following the deal with Napoli that fell through. Yacine Adli and Ismael Bennacer are on their way out too: for both, proposals from Saudi Arabia are expected. Tommaso Pobega could be evaluated by Allegri.
In attack, Joao Felix, Riccardo Sottil, Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic have already officially left. Francesco Camarda will go to Lecce on loan, while Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze have their bags packed, but they can make the head coach change his mind during preseason.

So, of the 20 players signed the past two seasons, 9 have officially left, and 3 have their bags packed. The remaining players are Pulisic, Emerson Royal, Terecciano, Bondo, Fofana, Loftus-Cheek, Gimenez, Jiminez, and Sportiello. Next season won’t be easy. The only thing we have going for us is that we have no European commitments.
That is the main reason for trim.
You don’t need a big squad for two competitions(Serie A and Coppa)
I’m not expecting much next season but am convinced that Allegri can stabilize the club
where are the “this is not Football manager” edge-lords?!
What does that even mean?
People against Moneyball. Lets see some action, not only youtube videos of 20 players going in and out. But if Alegri can not do it, no one will.
I honestly don’t understand our management, we had very good attacking players, but with a single move we have completely decimated it. Jovic should have been retained, Abraham should have been signed for a good price, and in my opinion we should have tried to sign João Felix, we do not have a single creative player
Are you dumb? Did you watch any game last season? They all gave flashes, nothing solid.
So yes we should at least try some other folks, it’s just stupid to stick to what you know doesn’t work
Joao Felix absolutely not worth the money.
Abraham, ive read we’re in talks to sign on new loan agreement. Think this will only be if we can’t sign a headline striker to rotate with Gimenez.
Jovic I agree as a cheap 3rd striker option, not bad.
Abraham is on his way to turkey
The players out have both underperformed and or don’t fit the current style of play of the manager. Look how RLC went from 10G to nil. Pioli used him differently than PF and SC. Can’t keep a champions league depth roster for domestic only competition. The players won’t get any minutes and they will cost the same as if they do. This gives Milan a chance to make a full reset. Players that were on the way out in the winter window can be sold and then the fringe depth guys same. Free up salary and money and tailor squad to Max style of play. Maybe have a team that can keep from conceding in first 10 min and can win 1-0 or 2-1 consistently.
