Journalist Ciro Venerato believes that AC Milan have the inside track in their pursuit of Dominik Szoboszlai because of Ralf Rangnick.
A number of outlets have reported that Szoboszlai – a 19-year-old midfielder for the Hungarian national team – is one of the Rossoneri’s main goals for the summer, and has a €25m release clause.
Szoboszlai himself continues to tease fans on social media, as he recently liked a graphic regarding his potential transfer to Milan, and then his father did the same to intensify the speculation.
Napoli, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are among the teams who have also been credited with interest, but it is believed that Milan could have a big advantage in the race to land the teenager.
Venerato spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss in Napoli about Szoboszlai’s future, stating (via MilanNews): “On Szoboszlai, the player prefers to go to Milan, knowing Rangnick well.”
According to a report from Tuttosport, Milan have presented their first contract offer to Szoboszlai – a five-year deal worth €1.5million per year.
