MN: Midfield talent will play for Milan in Viareggio tournament while waiting for registration

By Oliver Fisher -

Hugo Cuenca will finally get to play a game for AC Milan’s Primavera side during an upcoming tournament, according to a report.

Cuenca’s name did the rounds earlier this season when Calciomercato.com reported that an agreement was reached with his side Deportivo Capiata on the basis of a €500k fee plus 10% of a future resale.

Milan beat ‘many great European clubs’ to his signing as per the report, and he was at San Siro last month to see the game against Liverpool, but so far they have been unable to register him so he has not played a league game for any of the academy sides.

According to what is now being reported by MilanNews, Cuenca is present at the Viareggio tournament with Milan. He has indeed been bought by the Rossoneri, he will play with clearance for a friendly as it is an unofficial tournament, while still awaiting registration to play official games.
