Zlatan Ibrahimovic has waxed lyrical about Luka Modric, revealing his delight that he decided to do a second season at AC Milan.
It has been all-change at Milan this summer, with a new head coach in Ruben Amorim and a new management. Despite this, they will have a constant from last season as Modric will continue to be one of the guiding lights.

In an interview given in the past few days, the Croatian spoke about his decision to remain at the club for a second season, insisting that he did not have any doubts. Now, the 40-year-old is gearing up for the first game of the season against Torino tonight.
Ibrahimovic was a guest at the All-Star Game held in Split, closing the Youth Games. RedBird’s Senior Advisor gave an interview to local broadcaster RTL, in which he spoke about Modric. His words are via MilanPress.
“Luka is a master. For me, he doesn’t just play football; he is football. We enjoy watching him play. I followed him at the World Cup as a talent scout on Fox Sports with his Croatia team. We’re very happy he’s renewed his contract with AC Milan for another year.
“I’d say he was Milan’s best player last year. I hope he continues to play as long as he can, because I remember being in that situation myself and wondering, ‘How much longer do I have to play? Should I stop at the top?’
“But then I said to myself: play as long as you can, because you’ll regret it the day you say enough is enough, and the next day you’ll say you could have carried on. Like I said, we at AC Milan are very happy to have him with us. And he’s very happy too.”
