Zlatan Ibrahimovic has shared his favourite derby memory ahead of AC Milan and Inter’s clash tomorrow evening, taking us back to 2011.
Having played for both Milan and Inter, Ibrahimovic has a fair share of experience when it comes to the Derby della Madonnina. With the red and black shirt, he scored seven goals against the Nerazzurri, which is very good considering he did it in nine games.
Speaking to CBS, which did a longer interview with him at Milanello (yet to be released in full), Ibrahimovic shared his favourite derby memory. He opted to go for the Supercoppa Italiana in 2011, in which he scored to help Milan secure a 2-1 win.
“I have one in the Supercoppa Italiana, it actually wasn’t here, it was played in China. We beat them and we had a nice trip home. 20 hours [on the flight] with the trophy, so it was a nice one,” he stated.
“It’s the game of the year.” 🗣️@Ibra_official knows a thing or two about the spectacle of Milan vs. Inter 😤🇮🇹
