AC Milan were left humiliated in Europe with their exit against Feyenoord, but it does not stop there, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been given a Tapiro d’oro.
It is not the first time this season that Milan have received the famous trophy, for example, Alvaro Morata was given the Tapir earlier in the season. Nevertheless, there will be a frustration that the club have gotten it for reasons on the pitch.
The loss in the Champions League is only the latest disappointment of the season, and despite the potential for it to have a positive effect on things moving forward, it is a very clear reminder of the distance left to go.
Today, the club were given the Tapir for their elimination, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic was there to receive the trophy, whilst speaking with Canale 5, and Milan News have relayed the Swede’s reactions to receiving the ninth Tapiro d’oro of his career.
“We are disappointed and angry, the Tapiro is well deserved. It was not a positive moment. Yesterday there was a lack of maturity, but now the objective is to remain united as a group for the championship and the Coppa Italia.”
Is Conceicao staying?
“He’s doing well: when he arrived things changed. We are still not one hundred per cent, but we are improving. He has our full trust.”
Who here thinks feyenoord did us a favor 🖐🏻. We weren’t going to win the UCL the management objected for the last four meaning more games and also sacrificing the league. Would you rather be in the semifinals of the ucl and finish outside of top four in the league or finish inside top four and get knocked out by feyenoord? Also Italy won’t get the fifth spot
I really don’t get this way of thinking. I’d rather be in the semifinal of the UCL anyday of the week and twice on Sunday. If we crashed out at semifinal and won’t be participating next season because we are practically crap in the league then so be it. What’s the point of keep making it into the competition just to be knocked out early every single time?
We made it into semifinal while playing (with all due respect) Junior Messias and Krunic in the starting 11 lol. There is no excuse whatsoever to be crashing out to (again, with all due respect) some troubled Dutch team. And we also had stolen their talisman too! This is just ridiculous and shameful.
What exactly do you get for going to the UCL semifinal? A little more cash? Ok. You get a lot more cash by qualifying for the next edition of the CL. The MINIMUM OBJECTIVE for Milan, and any other top club is consistent UCL qualification while going as far as possible in the CL. Then, the most competitive clubs are aiming for the CL semis and challenging for their domestic title (e.g. clubs like Madrid). Finishing 6th and going to the CL semis is almost useless, because the following season you’re not in the CL at all, miss out on a huge amount of money and recruitment also become more challenging that summer because top players want to play in the CL. If you’re going to miss out on CL qualification through the league, you better win it, but that’s not happening now.
BTW, that season that we went to the CL semis, we finished in 5th place, and the only reason we participated in the next CL was because of Juventus’s 10pt penalty for financial shenanigans. So if that didn’t happen we would have played zero UCL in 2023-24. Does Reijnders arrive then? Does Pulisic arrive?
What the heck is this trophy. Awarded to celebrities and politicians who got defeated or humiliated 🤣🤣🤣
Hmmm u must be new here
Being knocked out like this is a shame, but now the coach will have time between matches to implement his vision and style instead of playing every three days. If the team comes out of this with an identity and style, that is far more important, as it will be the base for more success rather than rebuilding again and again.
Funny thing is, he WON’T until March. For the rest of this month, we are still playing every 3 to 4 days. Torino this weekend, Bologna Mid-week, Lazio the weekend after that.
Players and Coach still don’t have time to sort out their tactics until March at the EARLIEST.
Conceicao may have $hit the bed with his subs against Feyenoord, but 1 and a half months in, he still hasn’t gotten the time to implement his tactics properly due to our crazy schedule. 13 games in 44 days. In all of Europe, only Real Madrid have more.
Theo and Rafa should be sold in the summer
We are a second tier club…
Which club has ever won anything with 2 american and 1 mexican in the starting eleven?
If the focus is to appeal to american fans vs winning something, this is the rubbish club you end up with
What a fascinating pile of crap, great job. Pulisic is realistically in top 10 attacking players right now. Gimenez already shows he is very capable. Musah was never meant to be a first team player and is still very young, though I don’t see him becoming great. However, every team needs s couple of versatile players like him to fill the gaps.
Pulisic is one of the top attackers in Europe right now do you even follow football cause you don’t even need to watch to know this. Giminez is young and needs to be given a chance, we can’t spend 70 mill on an Isak like Newcastle did dude get realistic
AC Milan Dont need that clown …..
I don’t see any thing special in this present Milan team with their mediocre players. No different btw Ac Milan and everton
I’d say Tottenham, Everton is relegation bad we’re not there but could be pretty soon by the looks of it
The so called champions like Leo, Felix are toothless dogs who can’t bite but only barks.Bring players who have a heart to play for club like Milan.I really missed the like of Kaka who says in match against Liverpool 2007 “I will lay my blood for this champions league
I think you should shut up. Please less talk do more. Even better if you’re leaving.
Please please just leave
Ibra the Tapir-Man 🤣
YOU NEED HEART AND PASSION………. SELL THE LAZY ONES !!!!!!!!
