CorSera: Ibrahimovic hoping to help Milan fix crucial defect as Scudetto dream continues

By Oliver Fisher -

With ten rounds of the league season left, AC Milan still believe in the possibility of winning the Scudetto but they cannot afford to have any more missteps.

Il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes that after the victory in Naples against Luciano Spalletti’s team, the title dream is more alive than ever but now they need to look at the mistakes made along the way and avoid repeating them.

Milan have shown that they know how to beat the big names as no team has done better than the Rossoneri in head-to-head matches among the top seven, but the ‘problem’ is that they only face Lazio and Atalanta from that group between now and the end of the campaign.

Pioli’s man will therefore have to overcome the so-called lower-ranking teams that they have dropped 12 points against so far. Before the international at the end of the month, Milan will face Empoli and Cagliari. Then in April it will be time to face Bologna, Torino and Genoa.

A mental step must be taken and they can not afford any more slip-ups, so in that sense the return of a true leader like Ibrahimovic will be precious.
