Ibrahimovic insists ‘everything is under control’ for Maignan and Theo renewals

By Isak Möller -

During the presentation of Youssouf Fofana at Casa Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was asked about the renewals of Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez. The RedBird consultant insisted that they have the situation under control.

Milan have strengthened their squad with four targeted signings this summer, most recently with Fofana from Monaco, and they have also kept their stars. Having said that, new agreements will have to be reached with Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez.

They are both on deals that will expire in 2026 and during today’s presentation for Fofana, Ibrahimovic was asked about the latest on the renewal front. The Swede provided a reassuring answer for the fans, even if nothing is done before the papers have been signed.

“We’re talking. Everything is under control, everything is ok. We know what we want from them and they know what they want from us. It can all be resolved in a minute or with a little more time, but everything is ok,” he stated.

Maignan and Hernandez will play from start in tonight’s game between Milan and Torino at San Siro. They have only played one friendly since returning from the Euros and thus it will be very interesting to see them in action.

  1. Say what you will about how things are Post-Paolo but Zlatan has actually introduced an element of Calm about things that I for one have become quite appreciative of. Maybe it’s all P.R, maybe it’s not but ignorance on our end truly is bliss..lmao!
