Zlatan Ibrahimovic could part ways with AC Milan at the end of the season and Sunday’s clash against Hellas Verona could thus be his last. The future, however, is uncertain as evidenced by the striker’s recent interview.
Speaking to Gazzetta Dello Sport this morning, which you can read in full here, Ibrahimovic made it clear that he doesn’t want to retire at the end of the season. He also seemed to suggest that he isn’t ready for a Monza move yet, with more to give.
One of the key points from the interview was his honest take on his own attitude. He admitted that he needs more balance than what he currently has, pushing himself too much at times (which his body doesn’t allow for any more).
“I’m fine. I’ve worked a lot and I’ve forced myself, not only this year but also last year. And when I was out of action, the team needed me. When you know what needs to be done but you can’t do it, then you don’t give yourself any peace. I haven’t found the right balance yet.
“My mentality is too strong, I feel like Superman but I need more balance. I have to find balance just like in life. If you don’t have serenity and stability, you are a bomb, and bombs explode,” he stated.
It remains to be seen what Ibrahimovic’s future will be, but it seems that Milan haven’t made a definitive decision just yet. In any case, everything suggests that the Swede will indeed leave the Rossoneri this summer.
Thank you, Ibra!! you transform this team’s mentality and now we are in a good place
so long, legend
