Tuttosport: ‘Everything he touches is a flop’ – Ibrahimovic’s ‘magic’ runs out for Milan and everyone else

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s popularity in the AC Milan sphere has only dropped since he returned in 2024 and it seems difficult to see it rising again.

The work of Ibrahimovic has never truly been known. He, as he has stated, is an advisor. However, he seems to hold power way above that level, even seeming like he is the one who makes decisions around Milan sometimes.

In short, it is difficult not to see why he has struggled to build on the relationship with the fans. Especially when, since he has returned, everything that he has touched has become ‘a flop’, as Tuttosport writes this morning, via MilanNews.

Ibrahimovic’s difficult summer

The Swede has certainly not had a good time of things at the World Cup and there has been plenty of criticism for the former striker surrounding his punditry performances.

Indeed, it seems that he is becoming less and less popular in the United States and the general footballing world.

Unfortunately, he cannot fall back on love from Milan, though. In recent weeks, his abrasive view on Ralf Rangnick saw the club lose their first choice option and with another candidate rejecting the club – albeit not due to him – it doesn’t look good.

The Diavolo are nearly four weeks without any real structure and questions about his future are only increasing. It is not a good time to be Zlatan right now, his ‘magic’ has run out.

  1. He is a clown. While he had the on field performance to show people tolerated him and his 9 year old brain. Now when you listen to him you understand he is a stupid person, not intelligent. It works great when your job is running after a ball. When it is talking, sharing your opinion or being a manager – you can see how it goes in his example.

    1. It’s amazing how people like that always somehow rise to the top!? A guy very similar is at the head of the United States! 😂

      1. People like to watch clowns. You know how people stop and check out the car accident that just happened? It is similar behavior. If something is ordinary it is boring.

      2. Because most people are stupid, so when someone comes around talking a big game people follow them. No critical thinking skills, no self confidence or self reliance. It’s why we have religion, same concept. Most people are followers. Zlatan isn’t stupid, he understands this and exploits it for personal gain, just like that certain someone you are referring to.

  2. I always hated when Serie A clubs bought older players instead of younger players. I was especially against Ibrahimovic, Giroud and Modric but fans start praising them saying they’re only players who deserve team. Other leagues wouldn’t touch the older players. Ibrahimovic was hailed when he returned to Milan. I said he’s a mercenary with no loyalty chasing the highest pay check but has come to Milan as no one wants him now. Well the fans loved him now see what he’s doing to this team for his own personal ego. You reap what you sow.

    1. I’m sorry but in short your opinion is not brighter than Milan’s future. I understand where you’re coming from, but you can’t use logic like that.

I always thought pizza is bad choice for dinner, we should have eaten salad instead. But we went with pizza. Now 5 years later we have diarrhea. If only you listened to me back then…

    2. Did you drop on your head as a baby or recently? Modric played at Real Madrid when he was 39? What do you mean by won’t touch? There are players close to 40 playing in Premier League.

      1. Fool, he was surrounded by top class players with speed and athleticism. And he wasn’t the main starting midfielder playing 90 minutes every game. Did Mary drop you on your head whilst riding her donkey to Bethlehem?

        1. And what was Ibrahimovic surounded at Milan with? Modric? Which players played with him? slow and non athletic? You’re not even a clown, clowns need some brain.

Anyway, let’s go back to the fun part. No, I dropped my head inside of your mom. Remember? And then sprayed you into her.

    3. If you feel that strongly why don’t you go support your English masters. No room for you here. Haven’t heard such a stupid take in a long time. Stick to cricket.

      1. Fabri, I knew you’re a little bi*ch. There is a big difference between being rude to someone like I usually am or calling someone a gypsy like I just called you in the next sentence. You know you’re an Italian gypsy. If you can’t grow a pair of balls at least don’t be such a pus*y all the time. You can insult someone without using their nationality or race. Well intelligent men can, you can’t.

  3. It’s better that he’s stateside and away from Milan than if he were actually actively involved in anything.

  4. This article is nonsense. He came back and we won the scudetto. He retires we flounder. We don’t know how much say he has had in anything at the club. Everybody loves his punditry and the commercials over here.

    1. scudetto? it was Leao, Theo & Kessie,
Z were injured, the glue of the team also not him, it was M.
Z is 1 of great physical player no doubt, not so smart but egomaniac showman, good for marketing figure but not as strategist/ thinker

    2. Kiddo, that has literally nothing to do with how bad hes been as an employee of the ownership. We lost our first choice coach and 2 best director options because neither of them wants to even touch the project because of ibra and gerry. He told some of our only players who gave their all for the club to get lost so that he could bring in the complete and utter failures like felix, walker, and royal. Hes been a conplete failure since he became gerrys lapdog

  5. The problem isn’t Ibrahimovic, we all know he’s immature and talks rubbish, the problem is Cardinale doesn’t know anything about football so this fool is his sounding board. Ibrahimovic is only making rope for his own neck, Cardinal is eventually going to realise he’s toxic. They shouldn’t have sacked Furlani. A pen pusher is perfect as a CEO.
