Zlatan Ibrahimovic has published a message on social media about AC Milan’s 2024-25 season, which it’s fair to say didn’t go exactly according to plan.

As of late 2023, Ibrahimovic has been working as a consultant for RedBird on the Milan project, given quite a lot of power by the owner Gerry Cardinale. From Milan Futuro to the head coach appointment, the Swede had a say in some important matters.
In other words, given the failure of the 2024-25 season, Ibrahimovic has to be held accountable along with the rest of the management. The arrival of Igli Tare and the quick appointment of Max Allegri is a step in the right direction, but it doesn’t make up for what has been.
On his Instagram profile, Ibrahimovic published a message regarding the season and made it clear that it is indeed a failure. However, he also stated that it only fuels the Rossoneri to do better next time around, with a lot of pressure ahead of the 2025-26 season.
“This wasn’t the season we dreamed of. It wasn’t the one we fought for. One trophy, one lost cup final, not enough for a club like ours. But every setback fuels our fire. Every lesson builds our future.
“We might have lost the battle this year, but the future will tell who wins the war. We rise, we grow, and we come back stronger. Forza @acmilan — always. ❤️🖤,” he wrote.
