CM: Ibrahimovic’s Milan future in the balance – he has two objectives this season

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has put the annoying Achilles tendon problem behind him, and the hope is that the international break will get him back to top condition.

Calciomercato.com recall how Ibrahimovic played a combined 11 minutes against Napoli, Empoli and Cagliari which helped him get a feel of being on the pitch again, but now he will go away to join up with Sweden and to try help his country qualify for the World Cup.

To make it to Qatar, Sweden will have to beat the Czech Republic in the play-off semi-finals and Poland in the final, but Ibra will miss the first match due to suspension, so he hopes to win a duel against Lewandowski on Tuesday 29 March.

Then there will be time to think about his future with Milan, and he wants to win the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia. A retirement should not be ruled out and it is something he hinted at in an interview a month ago.

“I want to be there and help the team, since I arrived here we have been doing great things and now there is only one what: to win trophies. We are fighting and we are working for this, I don’t give up until I win with this team,” he said.
