Ibrahimovic insists Milan are ‘well prepared’ and jokes about Pioli’s influence in potential appearance

Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Napoli, scheduled for 20:45 CET, Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke to the media about the clash and his return. Indeed, it’s a boost to have him back.

The striker has been absent since the game against Juventus but today he will be on the bench. He has made two training sessions with the team and although the chances are slim, we might see him off the bench.

It is a fixture that the Swede has some history in and seems to like, given that he scored a brace away against Napoli last season which powered the Rossoneri to a crucial 3-1 win early in the season.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Ibrahimovic joked about a possible appearance off the bench and also assured that the Rossoneri are very fired up for this game, as they need to be.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that he is back to feeling well again and he joked that he will decide whether he plays or not rather than Stefano Pioli.

How are you? “I’m fine, very fine”.

On the team and the pressures: “The team is well prepared, we are ready. We hope it will go as we want. Against a strong team but it’s nice to play when the matches are so busy.”

On how it feels to be at the Stadio Maradona: “Every match is important, here there is something extra with this crowd making noise. The last time I was here it was empty, now it is full and we hope to do as the last time I was there.”

Will you play a good chunk of the game? “Let’s see, let’s see.”

Have you already talked to the coach? “No, I decide (laughs).”
